The Roots is Looking For More Volunteers

Roots program hosts do a lot more than spin records. Hours of research go into each of our marque programs like The Artist Spotlight, Blue Monday, C-Sides, Sweet Sunday Morning, Friday Night Happy Hour, and all the other programs that thousands of listeners tune into weekly. We even have a live all-night DJ who broadcasts live from outside Branson, MO, every night.

We are looking for five more volunteers to host more weekly programs. Bring us your ideas, and we will discuss yours and ours. You could be on The Roots in two weeks. This next part is impressive; most program hosts produce their show from home using our state-of-the-art remote broadcast equipment. You only have to drive downtown if you want to. Some radio experience is preferred. Community or college radio is fine. If you have other experience that could qualify you, let us know.

We have many other volunteer opportunities if you are not the “behind the mic” type. Contact johns@therootsfm.org  for more information.

Hello All – I’m a recent listener and I’m loving what I’m hearing! I saw that you are looking for additional radio hosts and it made me miss my former show on KCSN Arts & Roots Radio in California. I use to host a live webcast in No. Hollywood called http://www.kulakswoodshed.com and brought the listening audience up from 36 to 36,000! I featured original artists in an open mic format on a six camera live webcast with interactive audience around the world. I’m also a Distinguished Toastmaster with Toastmasters International and this girl can talk. I mostly love great feel good music and my husband is a famous recording engineer and his artists have some fantastic songs. I just enjoy sharing great songs. I have an entertainment newsletter that goes out to approx. 8000 people every month so perhaps I could do my show again as I do like your format.
