Jeremiah Johnson, a 2022 Blues Music Award nominee for “Best Blues Rock Album” with ‘Unemployed Highly Annoyed,’ has been hailed as one of the”75 Modern Blues & Blues Rock Artists You Must Hear 2021″ by Rock & Blues Muse. A world-class Guitarist, Singer, and Songwriter, Johnson masterfully blends the sounds of the south, Mississippi River blues, and a dash of country flair. His emotionally charged southern rock, fueled by the common man’s passion for life and its myriad struggles, delivers songs with deep meaning, a compelling voice, and exceptional musicianship. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1973, Jeremiah’s music is a vibrant fusion of St. Louis blues, southern rock, and country, creating an electrifying connection between the artist and the audience.
Born and raised in the river city of Saint Louis, Paul Niehaus IV has been a freelance musician since he graduated from Truman State University in 2009 with his BA in music and a folklore minor. He is proficient in guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums…and has additional experience on harmonica, mandolin, french horn, trumpet, and saxophone. He is known to be a versatile sideman and a talented and expressive multi-instrumentalist. He prides himself on being able to intuitively connect with whatever musicians he may be playing with no matter what the setting. He founded the Blue Lotus recordings label in June 2016 with the publication of Roland Johnson’s critically acclaimed ‘Imagine This’. He is the owner and operator of Blue Lotus Studio, an audiophile oriented recording studio in south city Saint Louis. He is a skilled recording and mixing engineer with a high critical awareness of sonic qualities, aka an ‘audiophile’.
