Join us in Downtown Kirkwood for the Route 66 Cars & Guitars Festival, a signature event of the 2026 Route 66 Centennial Celebration. This free outdoor festival celebrates 100 years of the Mother Road with vintage cars, live music, local food and drink, and family-friendly fun in one of Missouri’s most beloved Route 66 communities. With its “Cars & Guitars” theme, the festival highlights the rich transportation and music history of the region while offering a lively day of nostalgia, entertainment, and small-town charm.
Festival activities will take place along North Kirkwood Road and on the two blocks of Jefferson Avenue that intersect Kirkwood Road.
Festivities include:
- Live music from six bands performing on two outdoor stages with staggered start times
- A vintage car show
- A beer wagon hosted by local service clubs, serving beer and wine
- Vendor booths
- Food and drinks from downtown merchants and area service clubs
We recommend that attendees bring a lawn chair for the musical performances.
Come be part of this once-in-a-century milestone as Kirkwood celebrates the legacy of Route 66!
