Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician Marc Broussard is a unique performer who embodies the essence of American soul and has forged his own distinct musical style. The son of Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist Ted Broussard of “The Boogie Kings,” he nurtured his musical gifts at an early age in the vibrant Lafayette, Louisiana, music scene.
In February 2026, Broussard released a new studio album, S.O.S. V Songs of the ’50s, via his Artist Tone Records. The eleven-song set features intoxicating renditions of soul, blues, rock, and pop classics from the Fifties, two gems from the early Sixties, and a Broussard original. This vibrant collection offers a sublime showcase for Broussard’s dynamic vocal prowess, revealing his craftsmanship and passion for an impressive range of enduring American music. S.O.S. V Songs of the ’50s is Broussard’s latest entry in his philanthropic album series benefiting the nonprofit organization, Love of People, based in Broussard’s hometown of Lafayette, LA.
