SUMMARY:Kenny Wayne Shepherd @ The Factory
DESCRIPTION:For the last quarter-century\, riding shotgun with Kenny Wayne Shepherd has been the greatest road-trip in rock ‘n’ roll. Gone is the young Louisiana gunslinger who erupted onto the early-’90s scene with his burn-it-down guitar solos and gut-punch songcraft. The man he’s become is even more magnetic\, still pushing his Fender Strat where others fear to fret\, while diving deep into human truths and personal evolution with an honesty that only comes with miles on the clock. If that quarter-century journey has taught Shepherd anything\, it’s that there’s no such thing as mission accomplished. A restless creativity has driven Shepherd ever since he taught himself to play guitar at the age of 7. A musician in constant motion\, Shepherd has spent his career burning up the highways and crossing continents\, bringing his unique style of rock/blues to the world. \nIn an industry that’s changed drastically over the years\, Shepherd’s versatility and drive has served him well. He plans to keep making music and to keep touring\, “I don’t have any intention of sitting idly. We’re a live band\, and when people listen to our records\, I want them to hear what we sound like when we play live. I just want to keep moving and keep creating and keep doing what I love – for as long as I possibly can…” \nBand Members:\nChris Layton – Drums\, Kenny Wayne Shepherd – Guitar & Vocals\, Noah Hunt – Vocals\, Joe Krown – Keyboards & B-3\n

SUMMARY:The Greyboy Allstars @ Delmar Hall
DESCRIPTION:Born in San Diego as the “Allstars” of DJ Greyboy’s underground label\, the five musicians offered living\, breathing interpretations of his rare groove\, crate-digging discoveries. Flash forward thirty years later and GBA have grown into legitimate “Allstars” in modern music. Away from GBA\, guitarist Elgin Park aka Michael Andrews is a notable composer of scores for film and television\, ranging from Donnie Darko to Freaks & Geeks to his most recent work on the upcoming animated documentary Piece by Piece that tells the life story of singer and producer Pharrell Williams through LEGO pieces. Robert Walter\, the group’s keyboardist\, has been jumping between tours with Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters\, and Phish’s Mike Gordon\, among others\, while leading his own 20th Congress. Saxophonist Karl Denson divides time between his touring juggernaut Tiny Universe\, as well as the jazz-based KD3 trio\, while handling saxophone duties on tour with no less than The Rolling Stones. And then there’s the liquid cool of GBA’s rhythm section: bassist Chris Stillwell and drummer Aaron Redfield\, a formidable\, first call rhythm section on pop and hip-hop sessions\, including credits on recordings by Sia\, Elton John\, CeeLo\, and Charli XCX. \nAs they continue to tour and record\, The Greyboy Allstars remain one of the most exciting live bands on the planet—schooled in tradition but never bound by it. Their music nods to legends like Ahmad Jamal\, Wayne Shorter\, Thelonious Monk\, and Eddie Harris\, while sounding utterly timeless and unmistakably their own. In a time when jazz is colliding with hip-hop\, Afrobeat\, psych\, and beat culture\, The Greyboy Allstars are not just relevant—they’re foundational. They’ve been laying bricks in this house since day one\, and their influence only grows deeper. \n

SUMMARY:The Garcia Project w/Shakedown Strings @ Old Rockhouse
DESCRIPTION:The Garcia Project performs full\, unaltered classic Jerry Garcia Band setlists from 1976–1995 — song for song\, set for set — using era-correct arrangements\, tempos\, instrumentation\, and gear to recreate the authentic sound that defined those legendary shows. \nSince 2010\, The Garcia Project is more than a tribute\, the band delivers the emotional and communal experience that made the classic Jerry Garcia Band so beloved. A recent Grateful Web feature described their performances as “a night of healing\, heart\, and pure Jerry magic\,” noting that The Garcia Project opens “a little doorway back to the Jerry Garcia Band years\,” with the same warmth\, looseness\, and deep musical breath that defined the original concerts. \nTheir authenticity has earned praise from the musicians who lived it: \n“…they almost make me feel like I’m back in\, say\, 1992 at the Warfield.”\n— Dennis McNally\, former publicist for the Jerry Garcia Band and The Grateful Dead \n  \n \nShakedown Strings\, a Kansas City\, MO based trio\, consisting of Adam Galblum on vocals and violin\, Clayton DeLong on vocals and acoustic guitar\, and Rick Willoughby on vocals and upright bass\, bring their energy\, passion\, and joy to the stage. Drawing upon their improvisational prowess\, and experience as jazz musicians\, they celebrate the music of the Grateful Dead and explore the band’s vast repertoire of songs and musical ideas.

He was a founding member of the early 90s southern jazz-fusion group Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit with Jimmy Herring\, Jeff Sipe and others that had a lasting and influential impact on artists for decades to follow. That led him to join the iconic southern rock group The Allman Brothers Band as their final bass player during their latter-day lineup in the 1990s and into the 2000s. During his tenure with The Brothers\, he earned two Grammy nominations for best rock instrumental in 2003 and in 2004. In 2012\, Oteil received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for his 15-year contribution to The Allman Brothers Band as the longest running bassist in the band’s history.  In 2015 Grateful Dead members Bob Weir\, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart joined forces with John Mayer to form “Dead & Company” with Burbridge on bass and Jeff Chimenti on keys. \n“Oteil & Friends”\, which features a rotating cast of all-star musicians (including Melvin Seals\, John Kadlecik\, Tom Guarana\, Jeff Chimenti\, John Kimock\, Jennifer Hartswick\, Jason Crosby\, Natalie Cressman\, Lamar Williams Jr.\, and more) began touring in 2017.  In September of 2023\, Oteil released “Lovely View of Heaven”\, an emotional tribute to the musical legacy of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter while carving a unique path of his own.  In May 2024\, Oteil released “Love and War” recorded live at the 2024 Dead Ahead Festival in Cancun\, Mexico. This new single\, co-written with Lamar Williams Jr.\, features Melvin Seals\, Duane Betts\, Jason Crosby\, Tom Guarna\, Steve Kimock\, Jennifer Hartswick\, Natalie Cressman and Ryan Zoidis. \nThis will be one show you don’t want to miss!

SUMMARY:Joe Jackson + Band @ The Pageant
DESCRIPTION:Hope and Fury Tour 2026\nJoe Jackson\, born David Ian Jackson on August 11\, 1954\, in Burton upon Trent\, England\, is a renowned musician\, singer\, and songwriter. He gained fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits like “Is She Really Going Out with Him?” and “Steppin’ Out.” Jackson’s music is characterized by its eclectic style\, incorporating elements of rock\, jazz\, and pop.  He has released over 21 studio albums throughout his career. \nAlong with Elvis Costello and Graham Parker\, Joe Jackson was one of the three big “Angry Young Men” of the late ‘70s punk/new wave movement. His early records with his band (named after him)\, reflect said genre and his lyrics got him tagged as “angry”. After the disbandment of his band after Beat Crazy in 1980 (bassist Graham Maby stuck with him)\, he recorded albums that reflected different genres and were more less rocking such as Night and Day\, Body and Soul\, and most notably\, Jumpin’ Jive\, a covers collection of classic swing tunes. Over the years\, Jackson has continued to push his sound in different directions and still records new music to this day. \nJoe Jackson is returning with a brand-new studio set called – Hope and Fury.  It offers nine new songs. Jackson refers to the new album as a collection of “latinjazzfunkrock”\, a combination that we already know that he is more than capable of. \n

SUMMARY:Route 66 Jazz Orchestra @ Kirkwood Park Amphitheater
DESCRIPTION:Summer Concert\nThe Route 66 Jazz Orchestra is a 22-piece jazz band dedicated to the preservation and promotion of “Big Band” Jazz.  Ron Wilkinson appears as a featured vocalist. \nThe roots of the Route 66 Jazz Orchestra trace back to 1969\, when Meramec Community College band director\, Dr. Ron Stilwell\, realized the need and potential to add a jazz band to the music program at the college. As the “Meramec Jazz Lab Band”\, the band flourished for over 40 years in their role as jazz ambassadors for the college. Since 2005\, the band has been under the leadership of lifelong music educator and band director\, Bob Boedges. In the fall of 2012\, the band decided to leave the college in pursuit of the further opportunities available as an “independent” organization and in 2023 Gary Brandes joined the band as the associate director.

SUMMARY:An Evening with Jerry's Middle Finger @ Old Rockhouse
DESCRIPTION:Three decades after the loss of Jerry Garcia\, a close-knit band of musicians are carrying the torch for his distinctive blend of soul\, guitar\, and eclectic American music. Jerry’s Middle Finger do more than celebrate the Jerry Garcia Band’s catalog; they also broadcast it to a new generation\, upholding Garcia’s dedication to camaraderie and community-building by creating their own family-like experience onstage.  How sweet it is\, to experience the joy of JGB’s music in a live setting. \nA concert by Jerry’s Middle Finger is a connective\, cathartic event: a fusion of artist and audience\, where everyone’s a fan of the same catalog and experience. Those concerts began in 2015\, when bandmates Garrett Deloian\, Rodney Newman\, Son Vo\, Jon Gold\, Halina Janusz\, and Lisa Malsberger were drawn together by a love of the Grateful Dead and its iconic lead guitarist. \nAs the years progressed\, the band’s audience grew. Dive bar gigs in JMF’s hometown of Los Angeles gave way to performances at bucket-list venues across the country\, including jam-band destinations like the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco\, the Troubadour in Los Angeles\, The Ardmore in Philadelphia\, and Garcia’s at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester\, NY. “This isn’t just a cover band — it’s a band that genuinely honors the music Jerry made and the community he built\,” says Newman\, the group’s drummer and co-founder. “We’ve studied these songs: the guitar tones\, the vocal arrangements\, the keyboard sounds. We play them the way Jerry did\, and we connect with the audience in an interactive\, open-hearted way. It’s an approach that transcends the perfection of a performance or the spectacle of a light show\, because we’re not really about that. We’re about the music\, the feeling\, and the communal experience.” \nCalifornia-based Jerry’s Middle Finger is bringing the best Jerry Garcia Band tribute experience in the world right here to The Lou! Come join in as they celebrate all things Jerry!

SUMMARY:Anthology-A Tribute to the Allman Brothers Band @ Chesterfield Amphitheater
DESCRIPTION:Tickets on sale Friday\, April 24 at 10 AM\nAnthology is a band comprised of seasoned musicians who have a passion for the legacy of the Allman Brothers\, but what sets this ensemble apart from any others is their personal connection to the Allman Brothers\, and Gregg Allman in particular.  Two of the members\, Danny Liston-vocals and Dickie Steltenpohl-bass\, played in a Midwest band Mama’s Pride signed to Atlantic Records by the legendary Ahmet Ertegun.  At one point in their career their paths crossed with Gregg Allman.  He was impressed with their understanding of the feel for his music that he asked them to be in his band.  So\, playing the music of the Allman Brothers had become part of their DNA.  Other members of the band are Tom Denman-keyboards\, Terry Midkiff-guitar\, Matt Rowland-guitars\, Rob Lee-drums\, Joe Meyer-drums.  It’s Allman Brothers the way they would play\, not note for note\, but played with the kind of passion that ABB music evokes. \nDoors open at 6:00 PM. Show starts at 7:00 PM. \nSeating Information \n$20 – Advanced* General Admission (Access to lawn) \n$25 – Advanced* Reserved Seating (Stadium Style Fixed Seating) \n$25 – Advanced* Reserved Pit Seating \n$25 – Day of Show General Admission (Access to lawn) \n$30 – Day of Show Reserved Seating (Stadium Style Fixed Seating) \n$30 – Day of Show Reserved Pit Seating \n$60 – 4 Pack GA (Sales end August 6 at 11:59 PM) (Access to lawn) \n*Advanced ticket sale prices end August 6 at 11:59 PM. \nThe venue will be general admission\, except for the green stadium style seating & pit seating in front of the stage which will be reserved for Reserved Seating ticket holders only. DESCRIPTION:Atomic Block Party – this is a rain or shine event. \n$1 from every ticket sold benefits Backline\, a nonprofit providing mental health and wellness resources to music industry professionals and their families\, helping build a safer\, more supportive music community. \nANDY FRASCO & THE U.N.\nWith curly tufts of a recognizable ‘fro peeking out from his omnipresent knit cap\, Andy Frasco is a cross between John Belushi’s “Joliet” Jake Blues and Jimmy Buffett. He’s a band-fronting\, songwriting party animal who turns into a swirling rock ‘n’ roll Tasmanian Devil onstage leading his U.N.\, not unlike Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. From switching instruments mid-song to Frasco stagediving into the crowd or kibitzing with them\, an Andy Frasco & The U.N. show is a celebration of inclusivity and tolerance where “You do You” and “let us do us.”\n\nKITCHEN DWELLERS\nKitchen Dwellers continue to carve out their own lane in the world of progressive roots music\, blending bluegrass\, folk\, and psychedelic grit into a sound as expansive as their Montana home. The Bozeman-born quartet of Shawn Swain (mandolin)\, Torrin Daniels (banjo)\, Joe Funk (upright bass)\, and Max Davies (acoustic guitar) has grown from regional upstarts into one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking bands in modern string music. Their catalog pairs instrumental virtuosity with emotional storytelling\, an exploratory spirit\, and a deep connection to the American West.
