SUMMARY:Molly Healey String Project @ Kirkwood Performing Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:In the Strauss Black Box Theatre at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center \n\nJoin violinist\, cellist\, and songwriter Molly Healey\, along with her full band\, for a night of lush and high-energy orchestral rock music at the KPAC! A fan once lovingly stated that Molly brings the orchestra to the live rock show\, and it’s a descriptor that has stuck over the years. \nAs the longtime fiddle player for the Ozark Mountain Daredevils who morphed into a powerhouse experimental songwriter\, Molly Healey began her solo career in 2015 after buying a simple looping pedal. She immediately found a passion for blending her strings and voice together into atmospheric and experimental orchestral folk songs\, and her first compositions were featured on her debut solo album\, Nightbirds. She has since recorded 3 more albums\, each growing in intensity and instrumentation\, and the most recent of which\, Lotus\, was released in 2022. She has grown from the stripped-down looping solo set\, to a roster of original music and choice covers that she often performs with her full electric band\, the String Project. She plays a dazzling variety of instruments: cello\, violin\, guitar\, and piano\, all while experimenting with various other sounds looping in Ableton Live.

SUMMARY:Sam Robbins @ Focal Point
DESCRIPTION:One of 6 nominees for Artist of the year at the 2026 International Folk Music Awards\, Sam is a Focal Point favorite and he is returning for his 5th appearance!   His latest release reached the top 10 albums on the Folk Alliance chart for THE YEAR!! \nSam Robbins is often described as an “old soul singer songwriter.” A Nashville based musician whose music evokes classic 70’s singer songwriters like James Taylor and Neil Young\, Sam adds a modern\, upbeat edge to the storyteller troubadour persona. \nSam Robbins’ third album\, So Much I Still Don’t See is a testament to a singer songwriter’s journey through his 20’s\, through his formative years of 45\,000 miles per year touring and the beginning of a troubadour’s career. Most of all\, it is the culmination of firsthand experiences gathered through hard travel and big adventures.

SUMMARY:Railroad Earth @ The Hawthorn
DESCRIPTION:For over two decades\, Railroad Earth has captivated audiences with gleefully unpredictable live shows and eloquent and elevated studio output. The group introduced its signature sound on 2001’s The Black Bear Sessions. Between selling out hallowed venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison\, CO\, they’ve launched the longstanding annual Hangtown Music Festival in Placerville\, CA and Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival in Ozark\, AR—both running for a decade-plus. \nSought after by legends\, the John Denver Estate tapped them to put lyrics penned by the late John Denver to music on the 2019 vinyl EP\, Railroad Earth: The John Denver Letters. Beyond tallying tens of millions of streams\, the collective have earned widespread critical acclaim from David Fricke of Rolling Stone\, American Songwriter\, Glide Magazine\, and NPR who assured\, “Well-versed in rambling around\, as you might expect from a band named after a Jack Kerouac poem\, the New Jersey-built jam-grass engine Railroad Earth has let no moss grow under its rustic wheels.”

SUMMARY:JD Simo & Luther Dickinson @ Old Rock House
DESCRIPTION:Individually\, JD Simo and Luther Dickinson are building their own legacies as solo artists\, sidemen\, songwriters\, and guitar heroes. Together\, they’re a creative force to be reckoned with\, making their own version of amplified American roots music.\n\nWhen JD Simo and Luther Dickinson hit the stage with drummer Adam Abrashoff\, it’s not just a show; it’s a greasy\, groove-soaked resurrection of Hill Country blues. The trio is a rare convergence of three masters pushing roots music into the now.\n\nLuther Dickinson\, four-time Grammy nominee and co-founder of the North Mississippi Allstars\, brings deep Southern lineage and slide-drenched soul while JD adds his signature psych-blues and virtuosity. Simo has worked with Jack White\, Tommy Emmanuel\, Phil Lesh & Friends\, Stevie Nicks\, Paul McCartney and Beyoncé to name a few and his impressive résumé also includes playing every guitar part on Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis soundtrack and coaching Jeremy Allen White on Scott Cooper’s upcoming Springsteen biopic.  Adam Abrashoff’s deep-pocket drumming fuses it all with electrified momentum. This trio only performs a handful of select dates each year. Each one is a high-octane celebration of improvisation\, soul\, and swampy swagger -a modern blues experience like no other.

SUMMARY:Melvin Seals\, The Jerry Garcia Band & Jake's Leg @ The Pageant
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nMelvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer\, recording artist and producer.  Melvin is most revered for his powerful\, high-spirited\, Hammond B-3 organ\, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band.  Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”. \nFrom blues to funk to rock to jazz\, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up.  JGB is John Kadlecik-guitar and lead vocals\, John-Paul McLean-bass and Jeremy Hoenig-drums. \nMelvin and JGB brings an intuitive\, expressive style\, soul\, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. With a heapin’ helpin’ of the wizard’s magic on Hammond B-3 Organ and keyboards.  Along with backing vocals\, the result is a most satisfying blend of natural organic grooves that challenges genre boundaries. Their chemistry is the focus from which they create a spontaneous and high art where the sky is the limit musically. They offer an exciting\, often psychedelic musical journey that changes nightly and keeps the audience dancing and smiling (and some staring in amazement) for hours.\nIn addition to the often-played staples\, the band has recently been exploring the back catalog and performing a ton of super rare tunes\, some of which The Jerry Garcia Band played only a few times over all those years. \nAdding his rock-gospel-soul-rhythm and blues touch with his funky style of playing\, no wonder Jerry nicknamed him “Master of the Universe”. Melvin continues to treat music lovers to his unique brand of melodic flavor with JGB. \n  \n \nJake’s Leg steps onto the Pageant stage on March 13th to launch their 50th year!  They are not just celebrating a milestone; they’re re-affirming a legacy. What began in 1976 has become a living thread woven through the cultural fabric of St. Louis and the wider Deadhead universe. No other tribute has carried the torch longer\, and no other band in St. Louis has sustained such an unbroken\, vibrant run. Jake’s Leg stands not only as a testament to endurance\, musicianship\, and community\, but as a permanent chapter in Grateful Dead and St. Louis history – proof that the music really never stopped.  JAKE’S LEG is Randy Furrer – guitar & vocals\, Dave Casper – guitar\, Joe Trunko – bass & vocals\, Ryan Wilhite – drums and Bill Murphy – keyboards & vocals.

SUMMARY:Tommy Castro & The Painkillers @ Old Rock House
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nKnown for their signature sound that fuses classic R&B\, rock ‘n’ roll swagger\, and gritty blues\, Tommy Castro and his Painkillers are a force of nature live. This is true roots music played with passion and undeniable groove. If you love powerful guitar and deep soul\, this show is for you! \n“The hardest thing to do\,” says internationally beloved soul-blues rocker Tommy Castro\, “is be yourself\, take some chances and bring your fans along with you.” Throughout his long\, constantly evolving career\, guitarist\, singer and songwriter Tommy Castro has always remained true to himself while exploring\, growing and creating new music\, and he has taken his thousands of devoted fans right along with him. Since his solo debut in 1994\, he’s made 16 albums—the last seven for Alligator—each its own unique chapter in the book of Tommy Castro. Ranging from horn-fueled R&B to piping hot blues to fiery\, stripped-down rock ‘n’ roll\, each release is solidly built upon Castro’s unshakable musical foundation—a dynamic mix of 1960s-influenced guitar-fueled blues\, testifying Memphis-soaked blue-eyed soul and Latin-tinged East San Jose funk\, all driven by Castro’s grab-you-by-the-collar vocals and passionate guitar work. Blues Revue declared\, “Tommy Castro can do no wrong.”

SUMMARY:Robert Jon & The Wreck @ The Sovereign
DESCRIPTION:Robert Jon & The Wreck bring their signature blend of Southern rock and West Coast soul to the stage\, captivating audiences around the world with searing guitar work\, soulful harmonies\, and honest songwriting. Since forming in 2011\, they’ve toured extensively across the U.S. and Europe\, sharing stages with Joe Bonamassa\, Blackberry Smoke\, Rival Sons\, Samantha Fish\, Buddy Guy\, and more. Their 2023 release Live at the Ancienne Belgique was hailed by Music News as “one of the best live albums.” Now\, with their newest record Heartbreaks & Last Goodbyes produced by legendary Kevin Shirley earning widespread acclaim\, the band is riding a new wave of momentum and winning over fans everywhere.\n\nRobert Jon & The Wreck is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. Based out of Orange County\, CA\, this quintet is dedicated\, driven\, and committed to giving their fans one hell of a Rock and Roll show – night after night\, and town after town.\n\n……..with special guest Sam Morrow.\n\nAt 27 years old\, Morrow’s found his footing as an artist and appears poised to join the ranks of West Coast heavyweights like Sam Outlaw\, Jade Jackson\, and Morrow’s friend and label mate\, Jaime Wyatt whose vocals can be heard on three songs here. Musically\, this is Sam Morrow at his electrified\, energetic peak.\n\nMorrow croons one minute and growls the next with a sly nod to his influences while staking out new territory. From Lynyrd Skynyrd-friendly rockers like “Heartbreak Man” to the Little Feat-worthy grooves of “Cigarettes\,” Concrete and Mud boldly explores a wide range of styles and sounds. There’s also an undercurrent of classic country running throughout the mix.  “It’s about the fabric of America\, and how the Mississippi is a metaphor for what binds very different people together\,” says Morrow\, whose third album (Concrete and Mud) builds a similar bridge between opposing camps: country and rock & roll; the West Coast and the American South\, concrete and mud. “The sentiment is\,” he adds\, “the things that unite us are stronger than the forces that divide us.”

SUMMARY:Doc Otis Band @ Contrarian Concert Hall
DESCRIPTION:The Doc Otis Band is a voodoo swamp  jazz\, steamboat swing-slathered musical cacophony which has been distilled in the lead-laden foothills of the Missouri Ozarks & deep fat fried in a vat of the Big Easy. The band is comprised of Shane Ferguson (saxs & vocals)\, Joey Rehkop (trombone & vocals)\, Jay Wilson (saxs)\, Steve Skaggs (percussion & yelling)\, Tim Ames (guitar) & Josh Hinkebein (bass & yelling). \nDoc Otis’s sound is a combined result of the insanely high lead contaminates every member of the band was subjected to from very early ages\, coupled with experiences of sight and sound during the founding member’s numerous lengthy trips to New Orleans to busk the streets and play many of the various venues in and around the French Quarter over the last 10 years. \nCombining the dark insanity of voodoo swamp jazz\, an upbeat yet soot covered steamboat swing then\, deep fat fried in a vat of the Big Easy\, The Doc Otis Band creates their very own uniquely intense and danceable soundscape.
