His style combines the rich traditions of Nashville honky-tonks with an improvisational spirit\, creating a sound that resonates with a wide audience. He began his career busking on the streets of Nashville and has since evolved into a prominent figure in the cosmic country genre\, often compared to artists like Billy Strings. \nHe calls it Cosmic Country\, a moniker that’s both self-descriptive and a statement of purpose. It’s an organic rock band aesthetic with plenty of roadhouse twang\, a showcase for Donato’s instrumental virtuosity and facility for melodically infectious songcraft.
